Product Care Information
Fine Bone China
Our china can be washed in a dishwasher or hand washed, whatever your preference.
They are also freezer proof and Lead Free.
Cleaning your mug as soon as possible is the best way to avoid staining.
Our cotton tea towels are hand screen-printed and are machine washable. Please wash your tea towel before first use.
All of our cotton tea towels are machine washable using a cotton cycle. We recommend 40 degrees for Cottons. There really is no need to wash at a higher temperature – especially if you wash the product shortly after use, which we encourage!
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee full colourfastness above these temperatures. Try to wash as part of a full load, and wash darker colours together to minimise any potential colour transfer.
Drying is best on a line, but if you choose to tumble dry select a medium setting and remove promptly while the towel is still damp. Smooth and shape before ironing.
Ironing is always on the reverse, and best results achieved from damp. Ironing will help to improve absorbency.
All of our fabrics are pre-shrunk, but please accept a small amount of additional shrinkage, especially after first wash.
We’d also like to remind you that all natural materials are flammable – keep them away from gas hob flames, ignition lights and open fires.
Kitchenware items – pot grabs, oven gloves and Aga toppers
Please never use an oven glove or gauntlet when it becomes wet. Even under normal use, if it gets wet, leave it to one side to dry.
Washing is simple, but we recommend a synthetics cycle. That helps the heat resistant filling stay in place. A small amount of shrinkage may occur with hotter washes which can vary between the different layers of the product resulting in curling of the edges. A quick iron is usually sufficient to flatten this out again.
Tumble drying is not recommended since it can disturb the heat resistant filling. Best placed on a warm (not hot) surface, but please keep away from flames. Warm iron to finish.
Our Silk, cotton and linen cushions are machine washable on a 40 degree wash. However, as with any home textiles such as curtains or furnishings, we stress that washing should be done only when essential and with the utmost care. Washing will gradually change the surface texture and finish of any natural fabric over time. We do not recommend dry cleaning.
